Investigators say people are using online technology to promote prostitution. But a year-old woman, advertising under the name of "Sweet Sexy Brunette," disputes police claims. She posted an ad on the free classified Fref site, Craigslist.

In addition to patrolling the sites, Kimberlin said investigators have posted ads of their. In July, investigators posted an ad on Craigslist, which Kimberlin said is a site frequented by prostitutes and those seeking.

According to court records, Joshua Tyler Berglan, 27, responded to the ad and made arrangements to meet an undercover officer posing as a prostitute at an Oklahoma City hotel.

Berglan received a deferred sentence after pleading guilty last month.

Police arranged meetings and arrested the prostitutes if they offered sex for money, Kimberlin said. Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster says his company does not want illegal prostitution to be advertised on their site.

Advertising of illegal activities is prohibited, Buckmaster said, and their site allows visitors to "flag" inappropriate ads for removal. Prostitutes who use the Internet are able to attract wealthier clients, Kimberlin said, and can make more money than they can on the street.

Kimberlin wouldn't disclose what other sites investigators monitor, but said there are nearly a dozen Web sites that attract prostitutes and their clients. Her ad doesn't mention massage and says she takes cash.

She said she has received several calls from people looking for "other services" but she insists she only offers massage. Contact Us.
